Some of the Windsor’s Favorite Places to Eat!

  • Best Catfish = Fred’s Fish House in Batesville, AR (Nancy thought this was candy – we couldn’t eat them fast enough).
  • Best Ice cream = Central Dairy in Jefferson City, MO (Better split that banana split–we found out the hard way!)
  • Best BBQ = Bubba’s BBQ in Eureka Springs, AR (albeit this is the toughest category, because we love the different kinds of BBQ. Bubba’s has great BBQ pork ribs (Josh’s favorite) and pulled pork sandwiches, while Bodacious BBQ in Tyler, TX and Biffles BBQ in Concordia, MO have great chopped beef sandwiches).
  • Best Taco Salad = The Feedlot in Tyler, TX
  • Best ice cream cone (it’s big!) = the Drive-in across from Biffles BBQ in Concordia, MO
  • Best Italian food = Zio’s in Springfield, MO
  • Best Chinese cashew chicken = Hong Kong Inn in Springfield, MO
  • Best family style restaurant = Lambert’s in Ozark, MO
  • Best Pizza = Jim’s Razorback Pizza in Fayetteville, AR
  • Best fried "tators" and onions = gotta be "Grandma’s fried tators" at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO
  • Best Fried Chicken = Better check out the Chicken Shack in Vernon, TX
  • Best Breakfast = We really enjoy the Magnolia Diner in Magnolia, TX.  Haven't had a bad meal yet and the "Texas Scramble" is an all day meal!

  • Minister, missions visionary Dan Sheaffer dies

    Dr. Dan Sheaffer, the former pastor of Crossroads Cathedral (AG) in Oklahoma City, known for effectively raising millions for AG missions and AG higher education, passed away Thursday.

  • Fisherman back on feet, thanks to Convoy, MAPS

    Jimmy Morgan, an oyster fisherman from Louisiana, had his house and boat destroyed by Katrina in 2005. Hundreds of church groups, MAPS teams, Convoy of Hope teams and volunteers headed to the region to help families like the Morgans get back on their feet.

  • India -- becoming the church's greatest opportunity

    Experts are predicting that India will become the most populous country in the world as soon as 2020 — the India Assemblies of God plans to have 25,000 new churches planted by the same date.

  • Dick Gruber honored for work by "Children's Ministry Magazine"

    Dick Gruber, Valley Forge professor and former Children's Ministries consultant for the Assemblies of God, was recognized as one of the top 20 influencers in children's ministry in the September/October issue of Children's Ministry Magazine.

  • Three-time AG college president passes

    Klaude Kendrick, who served as president of three different Assemblies of God institutions of higher education, passed away Saturday. He was 93.
